Dr. Adam Milewski, professor for the online Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Geology, has been selected as the inaugural John and Barbara Dowd Professorship in Hydrology.
The Professorship Endowment provides support of the professorship and provides supplemental salary support and requisite fringe benefits; research, teaching, or service and outreach assistance needed, but not otherwise available, to support the Professorship; and covers professional travel expenses, memberships, and other expenses that enhance the effectiveness of the Professorship beyond those ordinarily provided by the University. The Professorship may pay for any expenditure in connection with the mission of the Professorship.
A note from Dr. Milewski:
“It is an honor to represent the department in this new role, and I am grateful for the support from John and Barbara that made this professorship possible. On behalf of our entire UGA Geology community, I want to thank John and Barbara for their generosity and commitment to our department.”
