List of Mental Well-Being Resources for Online UGA Students
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we have compiled a list of resources that are available to online students. In addition to these items listed below, more details regarding mental health resources can be found at: https://well-being.uga.edu/
These following resources are all provided by UGA:
• 24/7 Interpersonal Violence Confidential Support Hotline
706-542-7233 (SAFE) We provide free support and trauma counseling for students impacted by sexual assault, relationship violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and other related experiences.

Wellness coaching supports an individual’s own motivations and strengths. Virtual appointments available. Students will work proactively with a Wellness Coach to navigate day to day challenges and achieve personal well-being goals.
• UGA Counseling Referral System
UGA Counseling Referral System This online system will allow UGA students, faculty, staff, and non-students to search for mental health providers in the Athens community. This searchable database contains names of therapists and psychiatrists near the UGA campus who have voluntarily submitted their information to the CAPS referral database.
• Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)
TAO includes over 150 brief, effective, educational sessions covering over 50 common topics and skills related to mental health, wellness, and substance use issues. TAO Includes interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises and practice tools all aimed at helping you achieve your goals.
Learn to manage feelings and thoughts with the lifelong skill of everyday mindfulness. Through meditation, you can build up areas of your brain and actually rewire it to enhance processes like focus and decision making and minimize emotions like fear and stress.
