Online Instructor Will Speak at TEDxUGA!
Dawn Bennett-Alexander, who teaches online classes at the University of Georgia, has been chosen as a speaker at TEDxUGA. TEDxUGA is an independently organized speaker series on campus. Bennett-Alexander is a lawyer and an Employment Law and Legal Studies professor whose studies have centered around understanding diversity and each person’s unique purpose. She says “I believe that we have a responsibility to try in the ways we can, to change what we don’t like about the world.” Her speech will focus on these ideas.
Tickets for TEDxUGA are now on sale for the event on March 27 at Tate Grand Hall. The event will be an all day speaker series featuring 17 speakers. All of the speakers are UGA faculty, alumni or students and were carefully selected by the TEDxUGA staff. They will each be presenting an idea that is meant to to inspire the audience. This is a great opportunity to visit campus for a fun day filled with ideas worth sharing! If you will not be able to attend the event, it will be live streamed on the TEDxUGA website.
