UGA Hosting International Good Manufacturing Practices Conference
From March 7-10, the University of Georgia will be hosting the 40th Annual Good Manufacturing Practices Conference on its Athens, Georgia campus. This conference was established in conjunction with the US FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) to create an annual on-going dialogue between regulatory agencies and the pharmaceutical industry on important issues in drug compliance and quality. The conference is widely recognized as the top international GMP meeting in the world. The conference offers attendees the unique opportunity to meet with US FDA, other global regulators and industry experts.
The conference agenda is filled with high level US FDA and global regulatory agency and industry leaders. The conference will focus on the challenges in quality in a global environment. The conference will include sessions on quality metrics, data integrity, combination products, biologics & biosimilars, and GMP inspection trends and results.
Featured FDA speakers include Brenda Redmond, regional manager of the Inspectorate Health Canada and Lawrence Yu, deputy director of OPQ. Industry speakers include Jila Breeze, global head of quality & compliance for SunPharma and Tor Graberg, head of external advocacy for AstraZeneca.
