Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Middle Grades Education

Environmental Portrait of Meigs Teaching Award winner Gayle Andrews taken at Aderhold Hall.

I have long believed that teaching is a transformative force—perhaps especially in the middle grades, where young adolescents are full of promise and possibility. Preparing educators to serve these students with empathy, equity, and intellectual care is at the heart of my work.
