I have found that in all of my 23 years, if anything, students are becoming more interested in other people, more compassionate, have a better ability to speak to all different types of people.

Gretchen Thomas is a senior lecturer in the Mary Frances Early College of Education, where she has taught for more than two decades. A Triple Dawg with degrees in middle grades education and instructional technology, she blends her background as a classroom teacher and tech coordinator into a role that introduces students, both future educators and non-majors,to the power of educational technology. Thomas teaches a range of in-person and online courses, including those focused on assistive technologies and experiential learning, and leads the undergraduate certificate in Learning, Design, and Technology.
