Commencement
When you graduate from your online degree program, you are welcome and encouraged to attend in-person convocation ceremonies. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your fellow classmates and faculty in person. Celebrate your accomplishments with your families, who have supported you throughout your journey. For your friends and family who cannot attend, Commencement ceremonies are also streamed live.
UGA has two commencement ceremonies – one at the end of Fall semester in December and one at the end of Spring semester in May.
The Commencement site and your graduate programs have the most up-to-date information for your program, including where to purchase regalia, dates and times of events, and links for watching your commencement live.
After commencement, your diploma will be mailed to you.

Digital Dawgs are the UGA Alumni Association’s social media ambassadors, who help us share UGA news on Instagram. Help cut through the noise and make sure that Bulldogs truly Never Bark Alone by becoming a Digital Dawg.
Alumni Networks have programming for some of the university’s most dynamic populations, including students and four affinity groups: Black Alumni, Latino Alumni, Women of UGA, and Young Alumni.
Alumni Chapters are always looking for new Bulldawgs! There’s something special about spotting someone in red and black, and it’s always exciting when you find another Georgia Bulldawg. Connect with your peers and maintain your Bulldawg ties by finding your chapter. With over 80 chapters and more than 350,000 alumni involved, bulldawgs are united around the nation through the commitment and traditions we share.
Never Bark Alone! Chapters are also involved in coordinating alumni game-watching parties across the country, so you can cheer on the Dawgs wherever you are! Watch your email and social media channels to find your watch party for the next big game.
