5 Resources The Library Offers for Online Students!

updated 4/9/2026

1. Request a Book. There are several library texts and books online, but some are only available in print at the library. If you need a resource but cannot make it to the library, you can fill out a form to have it sent to you. This service is only for online students!

2. Tutorials. Since you might not be able to have a librarian walk you through the online databases, there are videos to help you out! They can show you basic things like how to set up a Galileo account from home or how to find just the right database you are looking for.

3. Electronic Resources Available Remotely. UGA Libraries’ electronic resources (including academic journal articles, ebooks, and databases) from on and off-campus locations. Most content can be reached directly when working on campus. When working off-campus, plan to authenticate with UGA MyID credentials.

4. Additional Resources. The library has many resources that online students can put to use. The rest can be found on the Distance Learning Help page.

5. Webinars on how to use UGA Libraries from a distance. When UGA students need help on a research project or a paper, they know to head to one of our Libraries. But when they are miles from campus, it might seem like that help is out of reach.
