UGA Offers Tools to Help Teachers Prepare for New Assessments.

The University of Georgia Center for Assessment, in the College of Education has tools to help teachers prepare students for the new statewide assessments that are coming up in the spring. The toolkit helps teachers change their lessons so that it will prepare students for the new literacy test. There is one in development for math.

Practice tests and other downloadable materials are available by contacting the Georgia Center for Assessment at 1-888-392-8977 or by visiting gca.coe.uga.edu. The toolkit aims to help teachers learn the best ways to teach this new material, become familiar with the new test format and assess their students to find strengths and weaknesses.
