I want to create multiple access points to content so every student feels equipped to engage, think critically, and apply their knowledge in authentic ways.

Georgette Morgan

Clinical Assistant Professor

I teach because I love being part of the process where others discover new ideas and build confidence in their learning. Teaching also allows me to continue growing while supporting the growth of others. I am especially passionate about preparing future teachers and behavior analysts. My goal is for them to leave my classroom not only with knowledge but also with a sense of excitement about their work and a commitment to being effective, ethical, and compassionate practitioners.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning is most meaningful when it connects directly to students’ goals and real-world practice. More specifically, I want to create multiple access points to content so every student feels equipped to engage, think critically, and apply their knowledge in authentic ways. I view teaching as extending beyond the classroom into mentorship, and I aim to prepare students not only with skills and knowledge but with the confidence and commitment to be lifelong learners and effective, ethical practitioners.

I hope my students leave my classes with the tools to be effective, ethical, and culturally responsive practitioners. My goal is for them to feel passionate not only about their own professional growth but also about supporting the growth and success of the learners they will serve.

What interests me most about my field is the opportunity to use research to meaningfully support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am excited by the chance to not only apply the work of others, but also to contribute my own research to the literature that is focused on improving socially significant outcomes.
