Instructor
As a remote NMI Instructor, Jake teaches a variety of courses each year for the New Media Certificate and Emerging Media Masters. Through a project-based curriculum, Jake’s courses guide students through practical ways to apply technology to achieve their goals. He previously served as a Teaching Assistant for four New Media courses and was an integral part of the NMI team during its expansive growth from 2013 to 2019. He was excited to return in Fall 2022 – this time bringing his advanced development and project management skills to the online classroom as a remote Instructor. Since his first class with the NMI in 2013, Jake has earned a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a New Media Certificate, and his Masters in Emerging Media. Beyond the classroom, Jake works as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Georgia Public Broadcasting. When not answering student questions or listening to podcasts, he likes to bowl or play kickball with friends.
