Faculty Advisor, New Media Institute
I’m an instructor specializing in user experience (UX) research, user interface (UI) design, and clear communication. My students examine and empathize with people to create usable, delightful, and tested solutions.
I’m involved in every aspect of the Emerging Media Masters. I lead the effort to mold the Emerging Media curriculum to match the rapidly expanding tech and design industry. I serve as the Athens-based advisor, guiding residential students from admission to graduation. Additionally, I coordinate the Institute’s ambitious Double Dawg initiatives, helping students from approximately 10 majors complete their bachelor’s and master’s in 5 years or less.
Inside and outside the classroom, my goal is to make every student feel welcome, supported, and empowered on their graduate school journey, just like the New Media Institute faculty did for me when I was a student.
When I’m not managing the residential side of EM, I’m deeply entrenched in communications, serving as the Director of Communications for TEDxUGA and helping oversee communications for the New Media Institute.
