Dr. Garing leads effort in acquiring new X-ray Micro-CT housed at the GEM facility

Dr. Charlotte Garing, an assistant professor in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences department of geology and instructor in the online Master of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Geology program, is the principal investigator in UGA’s Georgia Electron Microscopy (GEM) core facility's acquisition of an X-ray computed microtomography (micro-CT) scanner, a powerful tool for non-destructive, three-dimensional imaging that greatly expands the unit’s imaging capabilities.
