Online Professors Bring Students into the Community

Tarek Grantham and Meg Hines, online Gifted and Creative Education professors, also teach a First-Year Odyssey semester together that takes UGA freshmen into the Athens community. First-Year Odyssey semesters are one hour courses that give freshmen a unique experience. Once a week, the students go to Stroud Elementary and lead fun activities with small groups of children. The freshmen are supervised by Dr. Grantham, Dr. Hines, and graduate students from the Gifted and Creative Education program.
