We’ve created an online learning faculty teaching portal full of resources that will help plan, promote, develop, teach and assess online courses. The portal provides faculty with information ranging from policies, starting programs, to course development. 

Our goal is to provide faculty and administrators with the resources needed to share knowledge effectively so students have a great experience.

Budget Planning Programs

Before starting an online course, you must examine what it takes to create and run an online course. This includes marketing, hardware and software, salaries, course development and maintenance, quality assurance, and student support services. E-rate

Colleges and schools can charge a special tuition rate for online graduate programs that’s called e-rate. E-rate equalizes the cost of the program for all students, regardless of their residency status. Our faculty teaching portal outlines how to apply for it, the schools approved for e-rate tuition and details about UGA’s e-rate policy.

Compliance Guidelines

The Office of Online Learning can help with compliance guidelines such as SACSOC and the ADA section 508. Our office can provide consultations for making digital content accessible, including video captioning.
