UGA Online Degrees Recognized for Excellence
University of Georgia continues to receive recognition for its commitment to quality online degree programs. Most recently, UGA online degrees were highly ranked by AffordableColleges.com, TheBestSchools.org, CollegeChoice.net and OnlineColleges.com.
The University of Georgia has been ranked number four among the best universities in the nation to receive an online master’s degree in psychology by CollegeChoice.net. The list ranked the top 35 best online programs to pursue a master’s in psychology on a list of criteria including, “their overall raw score and ranking in US News & World Report, tuition affordability, and the average salaries of recent graduates.” UGA offers two online educational psychology programs– one in gifted and creative education and one in applied cognition and development. UGA’s ranking placed it in the top five alongside Harvard, Penn State, and USC.
Furthermore, UGA was included on TheBestSchools.org’s list of the best 30 online teaching degrees. Online education program rankings were based on the quality of the programs, the types of courses offered, the faculty, rankings, awards, and reputation of the school as a whole. UGA’s online teaching degrees (i.e. B.S. Special Education, M.Ed Reading Education, M.Ed Adult Education) were ranked third on the list, below the University of Indiana Bloomington and Michigan State University.
Finally, the University of Georgia’s Online Bachelor’s programs were ranked #4 in the nation in terms of best value by AffordableColleges.com. Programs were ranked based on their tuition costs and return-of-investment for students.
