UGA ranked No. 14 Public University in the U.S.
The University of Georgia was recently named the No. 14 public university in the U.S. by Niche. Niche creates its rankings based on a complete analysis of academics, diversity, admissions, professors, and student life, as well as other factors. Millions of reviews from students and alumni are looked at in addition to student life data from the U.S. Department of Education.
UGA received an A+ rating overall, with athletics, professor quality, student life and campus life, among others, receiving individual rankings of A+. The top weighted item for Niche’s ranking is academics, which counts for 40 percent of the score and measures factors including acceptance rate, quality of professors, as well as student and alumni surveys regarding academics at the school. UGA received an A rating in this category with a majority of students saying that professors put a lot of effort into teaching their classes, it is easy to get the classes they want, and the school workload is manageable. The university’s campus also came in at No. 10 for best college campuses and ranked No. 5 for universities with the best student life.
Niche analyzes dozens of public data sets, and the University of Georgia was listed among other top universities such as the University of Wisconsin, the College of William & Mary, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
