The University of Georgia was ranked #16 in U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of the best public universities in the U.S. for 2023. UGA  has been placed in the top 20 for seven consecutive years.

UGA is one of only two universities from Georgia to earn a spot in the top 20 and one of only two universities from the Southeastern Conference to do so. Additionally, UGA is tied with Ohio State University for the #16 ranking.

Recent rankings for the university include #10 public university by Niche and #10 best schools for alumni networks by the Princeton Review. Additionally, UGA’s online education programs were ranked #3 among all private and public institutions in the U.S. News & World Report.
