Georgia has so much to offer with such a rich history and culture, and you are able to experience it for yourself for free this month in celebration of National Museum Day. Museum Day is an annual celebration originated by the Smithsonian magazine and is celebrated by museums all around the country on September 21. Participating museums and cultural institutions provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket, downloadable on the Museum Day Website. Since money is no obstacle in this scenario, there's nothing holding you back from diving into a world of art, history, or science.
Of the 1,300 museums participating in this day across the country, there are 31 Georgia museums that will be completely free. A couple of well known Georgia museums like the High Museum and Fernbank have opted not to take part in Museum Day, but there are so many other great options to be explored.
