My passion for human resources and academic background in labor, industrial relations and adult education has provided for my successful publishing, teaching and researching career. I look forward to continuing to make developments in my department.
Professor
My real interest is adult learning paired with career development. My social status gives me a special interest in women’s career development. After my human resource management and executive positions at Honeywell, I focused my strengths on developing insights and implementing different approaches to adult learning and career development.
Currently, I reside at the University of Georgia as both a Professor in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy and the Associate Dean for Academic Programs for the Dean’s office. My areas of expertise include leadership, executive coaching, strategic planning, change facilitation, organization development and training design and delivery. My research interests include adult learning, human resource development, leadership, women’s development, critical human resource development and career development.
The success in my field is reflected in over 40 published articles and multiple books. My books highlight my passions and interests with titles such as “Critical Issues in Human Resource Development and Women’s Career Development Across the Lifespan”. In 2014, I proudly accepted the book of the year award from the Academy of Human Resource Development. Other notable achievements include the Outstanding Scholar award from the Academy of Human Resource Development (2013), the Trailblazer Of the Year award from Sherpa Executive Coaching (2012), and the Highly Commended Award Winner award from Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence (2009).
