Offered through the College of Education, the University of Georgia's online M.Ed. in Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) will teach you innovative approaches to address today's challenging HR and organizational development issues. Learn how to help an organization expand resources and capabilities through change management, group problem solving, talent management, team development, business process analysis and design, and customized training. Also offered on-campus, our HROD program has been recognized by The Academy of Human Resource Development for progressive and innovative curriculum, publications by faculty and students, placement of graduates, and for the high caliber of the full-time faculty teaching the online program.

Credit and Transfer
Total Hours Required to Earn Degree: 33 (credit hours)
Maximum Hours Transferable into Program: 6
With proper approval, six semester hours of graduate credit may be transferred onto the student's program of study. A request for transfer of credit cannot be made until a student has been admitted at UGA as a prospective candidate for a degree. The transfer credit must be included on the program of study.
Courses to be transferred onto a graduate student transcript must meet the following requirements: taken at an accredited institution, falls within the 6 year course time limit, received a grade of B or better, and not used to fulfill requirements for another degree.
Students applying to The University of Georgia must be accepted by the Graduate School. Persons holding a bachelor's degree from any institution accredited by the proper regional accrediting association are eligible to apply for admission to the Graduate School.
- Application – Submit the Graduate School application online. Application fee: $75 Domestic/$100 International.
- Test Scores – Send recent official entrance test scores (less than five years old) to the graduate school. UGA institutional code for ETS reporting: 5813
- GMAT or GRE
- International applicants must also submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
- Statement of Intent – Send to the department graduate coordinator. A statement of intent should clarify the candidate’s relevant background, interests, and goals, and indicate their intent to enroll in the online program in their statement.
- Letters of Recommendation – Submit three letters of recommendation online to the graduate school. Letters should be from individuals who can evaluate the applicant’s scholarly ability and potential for success in a graduate program. Preferably at least two of them are from faculty who have instructed the applicant in a previous program of study.
- Résumé or curriculum vita – Send to the department graduate coordinator.
- Official Transcripts – Submit unofficial transcripts from all institutions attended as part of the online application. Send official transcripts after you are offered admission.
Admission to the HROD Online Program is in Even Years Only.*

Admission to the HROD program at UGA's Gwinnett campus is in odd years only and is taught in a blended learning format.
Registration deadlines vary per semester. The UGA Office of the Registrar website provides up-to-date information on registration dates.
No campus visits are required. All coursework and assignments are conducted online.
Students take two courses per semester (6 hours) in a prescribed sequence. In addition, students will complete an applied project, prepare a M.Ed. Student Portfolio, and complete a final oral exam. When students follow the required sequence, the program can be completed in two years.

|UGA Online Education Now Available to All 50 States||
The University of Georgia is pleased to announce participation in SARA, the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. UGA’s participation in SARA positions the university to offer distance education to residents across all 50 US States. Before SARA, UGA was able to offer online education to only 36 US states in addition to international students.
