Before You Apply
Check to see if your state will allow UGA to offer online education to its residents. UGA is compliant with state authorization laws in all 50 states. More information about state authorization in each state for distance education at the University of Georgia is also available to you. If you have questions or do not reside in one of the states listed, contact us.
Apply for Financial Aid
Students wishing to be considered for financial assistance opportunities should consider completing a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). More information about financial assistance opportunities is available through the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) at the University of Georgia.
Speak with an Enrollment Coach
You can also schedule an appointment with one of UGA Online’s Enrollment Coaches by filling out the Request for Information form at the base of your selected program page.
Admissions
Only students admitted to the University of Georgia (UGA) can register for online classes.
Graduate Admissions
To apply to a UGA online graduate program, start by exploring the online degrees and certificates page. An application checklist for each program will guide you through the admissions process. You will need to apply to the Graduate School and meet the specific requirements of the program. Program-specific application requirements can be found on each program page, as well as requirements for admission.
Once you’ve applied for admission, check the UGA GradStatus page or contact UGA Graduate School Admissions at gradadm@uga.edu or 1 (706) 542-1739.
