Latria Graham Receives 2025 American Mosaic Journalism Prize
February 18, 2025Latria Graham, a mentor in UGA’s Low-Residency MFA in Narrative Nonfiction program, has been awarded the 2025 American Mosaic Journalism Prize by the Heising-Simons Foundation. The prestigious honor, which comes with a $100,000 award, is the largest journalism prize in the U.S. and recognizes excellence in long-form, narrative, and in-depth reporting on underrepresented communities.

September 30, 2024Valerie Boyd, biographer of Zora Neale Hurston, Charlayne Hunter-Gault Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and creator of the Low-Residency MFA in Narrative Nonfiction program, is the subject of a posthumous documentary produced in part by fellow nonfiction mentor Rosalind Bentley.
