Dr. Rongjie Liu Receives Franklin College’s Seed Grant

Dr. Rongjie Liu, Assistant Professor in the online Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Data Science program, and her team were recently awarded $10,000 by UGA’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences under its Rapid Interdisciplinary Proposals (RIP) Program.
Dr. Liu‘s proposal, entitled Advancing Brain Connectome: Large Language Models for Interpreting and Inferring Causality in PTSD, brings together a team with a strong background in statistical modeling and data analysis. In addition to Dr. Liu, an expert in causal inference, reinforcement learning, and statistical methods for neurological data, three co-investigators bring complementary expertise: Dr. Tianming Liu (Professor, School of Computing, UGA); Dr. Chao Huang (Assistant Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, UGA); and Dr. Lohitash Karumbaiah (Professor of Regenerative Medicine, Regenerative Bioscience Center and Department of Animal and Dairy Science, UGA).
Congratulations, Dr. Liu!
