Stressing Over Finals? There’s an App for That!

You are tenacious and focused, tackling the challenges of earning your degree from a prestigious university and we see you.  Finals are looming and we know they can be stressful. So UGA’s online learning team tracked down five stress management and study apps to help you feel anxiety-free as you study for your online exams and prepare for the upcoming season.  There are tons of apps to choose from so we’re giving you a place to start in hopes that you will ultimately find what works best for you.

1. Pacifica — Free | Available for: iOS | Android
This app helps you manage your stress by tracking your daily activities. The app then helps you figure out which activities are causing you stress so that you can better manage them. You’re able to set goals and do “emotional homework” in order to help relieve your stress.

2. SelfControl — Free | Available for: iOS
SelfControl is perfect for when you’re sitting down to study and get distracted by social media or emails. The app lets you block certain websites for a set amount of time so you can study distraction-free.

3. Pay It Forward — $0.99 | Available for: iOS | Android
This app encourages you to do a simple act of kindness each day as a way to increase positivity in your own life and other people’s as well. Making sure to spread acts of kindness is a great way to decrease your stress.

4. GoConqr — Free | Available for: iOS | Android
GoConqr has useful study tools like flashcards, online notes and quizzes you can create to help you review material. The app also makes it easy to share whatever you create with your online classmates.

5. Relax and Rest Guided Meditations — $1.99 | Available for: iOS | Android
When upcoming finals have you feeling overwhelmed, this app can help you take a few minutes to relax and unwind. You can choose the amount of time you wish to meditate, so you are able to fit it into your busy schedule when you have the time.
