TEDxUGA 2024: Coming to a Computer Screen Near You
TEDxUGA returns in 2024, and this time, you’ll be able to watch from home. Hosted by the New Media Institute out of Grady College but run by faculty and staff from across campus, TEDxUGA seeks to explore the candid experiences, groundbreaking research, and innovative scholarship that will frame the future through live presentations and talks by UGA’s leading thinkers and doers.
Join in and experience TEDxUGA 2024: Snapshot on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 7:00PM. One snapshot is a single perspective, but when united with others, a gallery emerges. TEDxUGA 2024 will provide a lens into the gallery of ideas that exist within the University of Georgia community.
Speakers this year include, among others:
- Dr. Denis Dumas – an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the Mary Frances Early College of Education, who also teaches in several online programs, including the M.Ed. in Educational Psychology – Quantitative Methodology, M.Ed. in Educational Psychology – Gifted & Creative Education, and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Psychology.
- Dr. Christina Proctor – an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavior in the College of Public Health.
- Mamie Harper – a PhD student in the School of Social Work, often referred to as the “Children’s Champion.”
- Narke Norton – the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
For 2024, TEDxUGA will return to Athens’ legendary Morton Theatre. A landmark of the historic Hot Corner in downtown Athens, Morton Theatre is a popular venue choice for performing arts and special events thanks to its charmingly classic ambiance and storied past.
However, TEDxUGA is also pleased to offer an alternative viewing option by hosting a virtual livestream experience. Each livestream registration provides a unique webinar link to experience TEDxUGA 2024: Snapshot.
