My research focuses on issues important to the improved preparation and development of preservice and inservice career and technical education (CTE) teachers. Research and creative activities, including publications, presentations, and grant activities extend scholarship in the areas of professional practices of CTE teachers, instructional strategies and student engagement, and CTE curricular and program reform.

For ten consecutive years, I earned the Career Development Recognition from the University of Georgia among other awards such as Outstanding Career & Technical Educator of the Year – Marketing Education Division, Outstanding Poster Presentation and Anthony G. Porreca Award for Distinguished Leadership to Omicron Tau Theta.

I also serve as a member of Association of Career Technical Educators, Georgia Association of Career Technical Educators and Georgia Marketing Education Association.
