The advertising field is always changing. New technologies and innovations are emerging all the time. I feel that the only way for humans to move forward is to embrace these changes and harness them for making positive change in the world.

I currently teach ADPR 7760 Digital and Social Communication Strategies online for UGA. In this class, students learn about the latest digital technologies used by brands to advertise and market their products. They also gain insights into current industry practices and strategies with regards to digital advertising and public relations, including use of social media, artificial intelligence, machine learning, search engine marketing, mobile, programmatic, virtual and augmented reality, and more.

I received my Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication in 2011. Prior to that, I obtained my B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. I also worked for several years in the film and advertising industries in Los Angeles, California.

I hope that students will learn to become independent thinkers who are able to solve difficult advertising and marketing problems in new and innovative ways. This is important for when they become movers and shakers in the industry.
