UGA Graduate Programs Among the Best in Nation, New Report Shows

The University of Georgia’s graduate programs are among the nation’s best, a fact only further corroborated by U.S. News & World Report‘s 2024 rankings of the “Best Graduate Schools”.

Of the numerous UGA schools and colleges seeing a jump in their ranking, we’re pleased to report many of those hosting an online program have made the list.

The College of Pharmacy, host to the online Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmacy – International Biomedical Regulatory Sciences program as well as numerous graduate certificates, has been ranked No. 15 in the nation, a jump of nine spots since 2020.

Meanwhile, the School of Social Work advanced to No. 20 nationally and ranks in the top 10 of public institutions. They currently offer an online Master of Social Work (MSW), as well as a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

The Terry College of Business now ranks No. 27, rising four spots, and remains No. 9 among public business schools. Terry offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Business and Technology online.

Finally, the Mary Frances Early College of Education has several individual programs rating in the top 10, and itself places at No. 30. To better serve its working students, the College of Education offers a plethora of online degrees and certifications, ranging from a Bachelor of Science in Education – Special Education to several M.Ed. degrees in Educational Psychology (Applied Cognition & Development, Gifted & Creative Education, Quantitative Methodology), as well as Masters of Education in Middle Grades, Reading, Science, and Workforce Education among others.

More top-ranked graduate programs are detailed in UGA Today’s recent article.

U.S. News & World Report’s graduate rankings are based on surveys of academic leaders and, for select programs, additional quantitative measures including placement test scores, student/faculty ratios, research expenditures and job placement success.

As the university’s rankings only improve, each year, UGA approves and adds new online programs to its offerings, including this year’s Online M.S. in Civil Engineering. You can read about more upcoming programs in this article from WUGA.
