UGA Online Bachelor’s Ranked #4 in the Nation for Affordability

The University of Georgia’s Online Bachelor’s programs have been ranked #4 in the nation in terms of best value.

“We are thrilled to learn that our rigorous online degrees are being recognized by for their value and their contributions to our students’ successes,” says Stephen Balfour, Director of the Office of Online Learning.

The top 50 online Bachelor’s degree programs were ranked by according to tuition costs and the return-on-investment for students. Three category metrics are taken into account by the site’s ranking algorithm: financial metrics, student success metrics, and program metrics. Financial metrics include tuition and loan default rate. Student success measures include enrollment rate, graduation rate, and the student-to-faculty ratio. Program data points show how many online programs a school offers and its prevalence of online learning.

UGA was awarded a 7.51 value score out of 10, while the first placed online program, Huntsville Bible College, was awarded an 8.31 value score. UGA was one of two SEC universities included in the list (the other being the University of Florida) and the only school from the state of Georgia.

“My favorite thing about this program is the quality of education provided in each course,” says Anthony Fauci, an online BBA student. “There are no short cuts, and everyone is working not just to succeed, but to succeed at the highest level possible.”

The University of Georgia offers two online Bachelor’s degree programs, as well as several Master’s, Certificate, and Post-Bacc programs. UGA’s online Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.  The online BBA degree provides students with a broad background of practical business knowledge.
